Andrew Bloomfield is an E-Discovery Attorney in the firm's Washington, DC office and a member of the E-Discovery, AI, and Information Governance and Litigation and Investigations Practice Groups.
With several years of experience in the field of electronic discovery, Andrew brings substantial expertise to bear on a wide range of discovery related issues in the context of complex civil litigation and regulatory enforcement matters involving state and federal agencies. He has worked on numerous complex, high-profile litigations across a broad range of legal areas, including breach of contract, fraud, trademarks and counterfeiting, patents, trade secrets, white-collar defense, personal injury, and others, in both federal and state courts. His representative matters involve leading technology, life sciences, pharmaceutical, and consumer goods companies in the Fortune 100 and Fortune 500.
Andrew routinely advises clients on critical aspects of e-discovery, including data preservation, data collection, data processing, document review, privilege issues, and document production. He also has experience using artificial intelligence (AI) and technology-assisted review (TAR) to analyze collected data and realize efficiencies in discovery workflows. He is currently a member of The Sedona Conference's Working Group 13 on AI and the Law.
Andrew has overseen multiple large-scale data collection and document review projects, each involving numerous custodians, large teams of reviewers, and voluminous amounts of data. He leads and manages teams of attorneys and vendors daily, supervising and coordinating document review and production efforts to ensure smooth execution during all phases of discovery, while minimizing risk and maximizing efficiency. He also stays abreast of advancements in technology in the legal industry, allowing him to provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
