Covington’s Rosette and Hamilton Named to List of the “World’s Leading Trademark Professionals”

WASHINGTON, DC, January 30, 2014 — Kristina Rosette and Hope Hamilton of Covington & Burling have been named as two of the “World's Leading Trademark Professionals” in the 2014 World Trademark Review 1000.

Ms. Rosette, of counsel, was recognized as one of five leading generic top-level domain (gTLD) experts in the nation, and was the only woman so recognized. Noting her expertise, World Trademark Review wrote that she is “one of the most celebrated names in the emerging gTLD space,” and that “very few can hold a candle to her ability and knowledge.” The publication also listed her as a top trademark prosecution and strategy expert in Washington.

Ms. Hamilton, special counsel and vice-chair of the firm’s intellectual property rights group, was recognized as one of the recommended trademark enforcement and litigation experts in Washington, D.C. In a profile, World Trademark Review wrote that Ms. Hamilton is “renowned for her litigation accomplishments and boasts a substantial record on both TTAB and federal court disputes.” Ms. Hamilton was one of only eight women among the top 40 enforcement and litigation attorneys recognized in the D.C. Metro region rankings.

Covington also received recognition in the law firm categories of enforcement and litigation, as well as prosecution and strategy. The publication cites the firm’s growth and reputation in the trademark space as reasons for its success.
