Covington partner and head of Covington’s Patent Office Trials Practice, Andrea Reister, was invited to speak at the American Intellectual Property Law Association (“AIPLA”) Quarterly Journal’s first annual “AIPLA QJ Symposium.”
Andrea participated on the “Claim Construction During Post-Grant Proceedings at the Patent Office” panel, bringing her extensive knowledge and experience on the subject, which have informed a string of recent successes before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (“PTAB”).
“Post-grant proceedings are a critically important area,” Andrea commented. “I appreciated the opportunity to thoroughly discuss and shed light on the topic."
Held at The George Washington University Law School, the theme of the Symposium this year was “The Life of a Claim Term.” “It was very thought-provoking and an excellent platform which brought together various thought leaders in the field,” Andrea said.
