Please join us during Seoul ADR Festival for a discussion on "Use of International Arbitration for IP and Technology Disputes. 

Development in technology has not only changed our daily lives but also the landscape of disputes resolution in various aspects. IP issues arise across various industries ranging from energy, life sciences & healthcare, gaming, technology and entertainment. Also, these industries are characterized by major multinational players and small start-up companies, all of whom can operate across several jurisdictions and in markets that may not have existed in prior years.

Drawing upon experiences of representing and advising such companies, this panel will discuss various issues arising from the unique aspects of IP and technology disputes. In particular, this panel comprised of both international arbitration specialists and a IP / patent litigator will explore:

• Broad range of issues to consider when negotiating a IP / technology related contract (prior to a dispute);
• Practical tips on how to prevent disputes;
• Practical tips on how to prepare for when disputes arise; and
• Practical tips on how to win international arbitrations involving IP and technology disputes (e.g., arbitrator selection, document production, quantification of damages, etc.).
