Trump's election: Implications for US infrastructure

Andrew Jack is quoted in an IJ Global article regarding the implications of Donald Trump’s election for U.S. infrastructure. According to Jack, although there is much uncertainty about what might change, “there’s a lot of things that are going to continue regardless of who is in government.” 

Jack points out that there will continue to be technological innovations and state initiatives in places like New York and California that will continue to support the move toward clean energy deployment. Likewise, strong support for renewables is also likely to continue in the corporate sector. “There has been a tremendous increase in corporate PPAs certainly in 2015 and that trend has continued in 2016 and I don’t foresee corporations changing their view on that,” Jack says. “It’s been driven by a combination of economic and business factors that aren’t political.”
