Isaac Wood advises clients in diverse industries on a range of tax matters involving both domestic and international tax issues. He has participated in all stages of the tax planning process, as well as counseling clients undergoing audits.

His tax practice is informed by a diverse legal background, including experience negotiating transactional and commercial agreements and clerking on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.

  • Advised corporation on deductibility of payments made when entering into long-term contracts with customers.
  • Advised financial services client on the availability of the dividends-received deduction.
  • Represented AstraZeneca in its $600 million acquisition of Actavis’ branded respiratory portfolio in the United States.
  • Drafted and negotiated manufacturing and supply agreements for pharmaceutical companies.
  • Provided tax advice to a client in connection with its possible conversion to a Subchapter T cooperative.

  • Advised Washington, DC and Virginia nonprofit organizations on corporate governance issues and applying for recognition as 501(c)(3) organizations.
