Bethany Theriot specializes in both representing policyholders in disputes with their insurance carriers and counseling U.S. and multinational clients on international trade and regulatory enforcement matters.
In her insurance practice, Ms. Theriot primarily represents policyholders in complex and high-stakes insurance recovery litigation. She also has experience counseling clients on their existing insurance programs and claims. In the course of her efforts to help clients to secure coverage, Ms. Theriot has analyzed issues arising under fidelity bonds and commercial general liability, professional liability, errors and omissions, and maritime policies.
Ms. Theriot also counsels clients on international trade and regulatory enforcement matters, focusing particularly on export controls, economic sanctions, customs matters, and anti-bribery laws. She has assisted U.S. and multinational clients in the financial, aerospace, defense, and life sciences industries, among others, with matters arising in a variety of contexts, including M&A due diligence, internal investigations and voluntary disclosures, Government inquiries and enforcement matters, and day-to-day compliance.
