  • Successfully represented large automotive group in complex civil litigation and appeal related to succession and ownership dispute, winning summary judgment on all claims.
  • Successfully represented major media companies as intervenors in administrative appeal before the D.C. Circuit relating to virtual channel positioning.
  • Represented hospital in litigation concerning reimbursement for emergency services rendered to Affordable Care Act plan enrollees.
  • Represented major health insurance company in connection with litigation related to risk adjustment payments under the Affordable Care Act.
  • Represented major corporations in a variety of litigation proceedings involving alleged violations of RICO, TCPA, FCRA, and state consumer protection and unfair and deceptive trade practices statutes, as well as breach of contract, fraud, tortious interference, negligent hiring and supervision, and other causes of action.

  • Represented the Protect Trade Secrets Coalition in securing the enactment of legislation to establish a federal civil remedy for trade secret misappropriation.
  • Represented think tank in connection with white paper on public transportation policy.
  • Advised juvenile justice organization on legislative strategy related to reauthorization of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act.

Pro Bono

  • Represented public defender offices in Maryland and Cook County, Illinois in multi-jurisdictional efforts to reform cash bail systems, including creation of white papers and coordination of rulemaking and legislative strategy among multiple stakeholders.
  • Represented U.S. Senators in filing bipartisan amicus brief in the U.S. Supreme Court in case involving partisan gerrymandering. Gill v. Whitford, 585 U.S. ___ (2018).
  • Represented professional organization focused on child abuse and neglect in filing amicus brief in the U.S. Supreme Court in case involving juvenile Miranda waiver.
  • Representing association of Maryland judges in connection with efforts to reform Maryland judicial disciplinary system.
