Colette Manches is an associate in the litigation department of the firm's London office. Ms Manches has experience in a broad range of commercial litigation including financial services disputes, commercial fraud and asset tracing, freezing injunctions, shareholder/partnership disputes and contractual disputes, often with an international element.

  • Advising the leading online retailer, on an ongoing basis, in relation to the broadcast of a high-profile new television programme and advising the company on disputes arising out of various commercial agreements.
  • Obtaining an injunction on behalf of an international media company to restrain breaches of its intellectual property rights by a competitor company, in particular the logo and title for its reality television programme.
  • Acting for a founding partner of an investment management company in relation to claims for breach of fiduciary duty against one of its co-founders. 
  • Advising one of the world’s leading cosmetics companies in relation to a breach of contract dispute with one of its distributors.
  • Advising a Russian oligarch in a complex multi-jurisdiction shareholder dispute relating to the management and funding of an oil refinery project in Russia, including a successful application for urgent freezing relief.
  • Acting for a major pharmaceutical company in relation to product liability litigation.
  • Acting for a software company in relation to claims against its senior employee software developers, and a competitor company to whom they had defected, for the misappropriation of the claimant’s valuable intellectual property and confidential information, including algorithms and source code for the claimant’s software.
  • Defending a leading mobile telecommunications provider in proceedings for breach of contract brought against it by an insurance intermediary in respect of insurance cover for lost, damaged or stolen mobile telephones.
  • Experience in the execution of search and seizure orders, both as supervising solicitor and solicitor for the applicant.
