Katharine Kinchlea is an associate in the technology and media practice group, having joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 2017. Her practice focuses on data protection, information technology and trade laws, and encompasses regulatory compliance and policy advisory work.

Ms. Kinchlea advises emerging and leading technology and life sciences companies on data protection and cybersecurity issues. Her work in this area has involved advising global companies on compliance with European data privacy and information rights legislation, such as the General Data Protection Regulation, the UK Data Protection Act, and related EU legislation. She also advises on a variety of policy developments in Europe, including providing strategic advice on EU and national initiatives relating to digital health and technology.

Pro Bono

  • Ms. Kinchlea has worked with Kids In Need of Defense UK, a collaboration between the U.S. charity, KIND Inc. and four UK not for profit organisations to provide legal advice to undocumented children and young people.
