"[Bharara] wasn’t afraid of losing, and I think that made a big difference and inspired confidence in the prosecutors who worked for him," says Devlin-Brown. “If as a prosecutor, if you’re worried about hurting your own standing if you don’t obtain a guilty verdict, that may make you hesitant in pursuing cases."
