U.K. Bank Operations, Tech Chiefs Come Under Regulators’ Gaze

October 21, 2016, The Wall Street Journal

Charlotte Hill is quoted by The Wall Street Journal in an article regarding rules proposed by UK regulators to strengthen individual accountability at banks and insurance companies. According to Hill, the widening scope of the Senior Managers Regime is part and parcel of regulators’ increased focus on tackling misconduct and shouldn’t be a surprise to firms. “Regulators have been talking about culture and improving accountability in general since 2008, so this is really a culmination of many years’ work,” she says.
