Discussion with the Rt. Hon Lord Maude of Horsham on the Implications of Brexit and Next Steps

Date: Thursday, September 8, 2016 12:30 PM - 02:00 PM

On September 8, 2016, Covington’s Public Policy and Government Affairs (PPGA) team will host a luncheon discussion with Lord Francis Maude, the UK’s Minister of State for Trade and Investment (and previously Minister for the Cabinet Office) under the Cameron government. Following the British people’s historic June 23 vote to leave the European Union, Lord Maude will outline the implications of Brexit for the UK, the EU, and international stakeholders.

Lord Maude has held a number of influential positions in the UK, including shadow Chancellor, shadow Foreign Secretary, and Conservative Party Chairman. He was Minister for Europe under Margaret Thatcher, and subsequently a signatory to the Maastricht treaty.

Sebastian Vos, EU Chair of the PPGA practice, will introduce Lord Maude and moderate the discussion.
