Covington Participates in 2nd Annual Tech Law Summit

T’Shae Sherman, an associate in our New York office, was a panelist at Microsoft’s second annual Tech Law Summit, held at the Howard University School of Law. Among the goals of the Summit is educating minority legal professionals on the issues and opportunities in the tech industry.

Ms. Sherman is a member of Covington’s Technology and IP Transactions Practice Group and participated on a panel entitled, "ABCs of Data Today: Analytics, Blockchain, Cryptocurrency, and Cybersecurity."

The following lawyers joined Ms. Sherman on the panel:

  • Tonya Evans, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Professor of Law at the UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law
  • Veronica Jackson, Principal at Miles Stockbridge
  • Parag Patel, Associate at Orrick

Tiffany Smith, a Partner at WilmerHale, moderated the panel.

Howard Law School alumnus and Microsoft Corporate Counsel, Charlie Bingham, facilitated the development of the Summit at Howard Law.
