That's a Wrap: 2019 #CovHasPride Comes to a Close

Covington's San Francisco office hosted more than 200 clients and friends for a Celebration of Pride Event. The event focused on LGBTQ civil rights and it fell on a significant date for the LGBTQ community. On June 26, 2013, the Supreme Court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act. Two years later to the date, the court struck down all remaining state bans on same-sex marriage, making marriage equality the law of the land.

Kevin Poloncarz and Cort Lannin highlighted Covington's commitment to the LGBTQ+ community. Clara Shin and Kate Kendell, former leader of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, led an inspirational discussion on civil rights advocacy, the LGBTQ+ community, and the Supreme Court.
