NEW YORK, May 7, 2014 — Nicole Duclos has been named to Latinvex’s list of “Latin America’s Top 50 Female Lawyers.” The online publication selected the top 50 female lawyers specializing in Latin America from among nearly 100 international law firms.
Ms. Duclos focuses on international commercial and investment arbitration in Latin America. Her experience spans energy, construction, infrastructure, finance, agroindustry and mining, among other industries.
Over the past year, Ms. Duclos has represented clients in international commercial and investment arbitrations, including the Chilean subsidiary of a leading mining company in an ICDR arbitration commenced under an EPC contract for the construction of a transmission line in South America; a Brazilian engineering company in an ICC arbitration relating to the expansion of a paper mill plant in Brazil; a Peruvian mining company in an ICC arbitration with an Asian supplier of mining equipment and a dispute arising from an EPC contract for the construction of a copper mine in South America; and a European utilities company in a dispute arising from the construction of a drinking water plant in Central America.
