Floyd Mills Joins Covington as Director of Diversity and Inclusion

We are pleased to announce that Floyd Mills has joined Covington as the Director of Diversity and Inclusion. Mr. Mills will enhance and execute the firm’s diversity and inclusion strategy, collaborating with professionals in our recruiting, professional development and marketing departments to further integrate diversity as a core function of our business. Mr. Mills will drive our ongoing efforts, both in evaluating the best ways to enhance our diversity and inclusion programs within the firm, and also in our outreach to clients.

Mr. Mills joins us from the Council on Foundations, where he served as the Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Prior to that, he served as the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at an Am Law100 law firm. He has over 20 years of experience leading diversity and inclusion efforts, having begun his career at Accenture where he was instrumental in developing the first of its employee affinity groups.

Mr. Mills is a member of the Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals (ALFDP). He previously served as a member of the Williams Institute Washington DC Leadership Council.
