LCLD Selects Three Covington Lawyers for Leadership Programs

February 26, 2018

The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) has chosen Covington partner Mona Patel to be a member of its 2018 class of Fellows. Based in the Washington office, Mona focuses her practice on white collar defense and investigations. The program is designed to produce a generation of lawyers with strong leadership and relationship skills who are committed to fostering diversity within their individual institutions and the profession at large.

Laura Torre, an associate in Covington’s New York office, has been selected for this year’s LCLD Pathfinder Program. Targeted to diverse, high-potential lawyers with three to five years of experience, the selective Pathfinder Program offers participants the opportunity to enhance their leadership and professional networking skills. Over the course of a year, the program provides professional development opportunities with three core goals of leadership, personal brand growth, and relationship building.

Anne Lee, hiring partner and partner in the firm’s Antitrust practice, and Aaron Lewis, a partner in the firm’s White Collar Defense and Investigations Practice Group, will serve as program facilitators to guide and mentor Laura and Kelly through the Pathfinder Program. Anne was a 2016 LCLD Fellow, and Aaron was a 2017 LCLD Fellow.

Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 285 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession. The LCLD Fellows Program, which has trained more than a thousand mid-career lawyers since 2011, is one of LCLD’s most important initiatives. Read more about the LCLD 2018 programs here.
