Adam Crews assists major financial institutions with litigation, investigations, and government enforcement matters. His litigation experience includes defending major financial institutions in complex putative class action lawsuits and high-stakes commercial and consumer litigation. He also has experience helping clients conduct internal reviews and advocating to regulators.

  • Defended major financial institutions in consumer litigation under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Truth in Lending Act, and state consumer protection laws.
  • Represented major financial institutions in connection with investigations by the Department of Justice, the Federal Reserve Board, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and state banking regulators.
  • Assisted a major financial institution with an internal review of regulatory issue remediation efforts.

Pro Bono

  • As lead counsel, prevailed in a service connection benefits appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
  • Drafted multiple amicus briefs on behalf of civil rights organizations in the areas of free speech, equal protection, and voting rights, including a brief that was adopted as the basis for invalidating a state statute.
  • Successfully represented a state prisoner in a federal civil rights lawsuit alleging excessive force and failure to protect while in pre-trial detention.
