WASHINGTON, DC, October 11, 2012 — For the second straight year, the National Association of Corporate Directors has named Covington & Burling partner Keir Gumbs to its People to Watch list in recognition of his exemplary leadership.
Mr. Gumbs was singled out for advocating the highest standards of corporate governance. “I am delighted and honored to be recognized again among the NACD’s top governance practitioners,” Mr. Gumbs said.
Each year, NACD Directorship 100 identifies the most influential people in the boardroom community, including directors and officers, as well as corporate governance experts, journalists, regulators, academics and counselors.
“The NACD Directorship 100 honorees represent the most influential leaders who set the right tone in the boardroom, enabling sustainable growth and innovation around the globe,” said Ken Daly, president and CEO of the association. “These stewards of exemplary board leadership serve as role models for others, and it is important for NACD to recognize their contributions in the boardroom and to corporate governance.”
Mr. Gumbs and the other honorees will be recognized November 27 at the sixth annual NACD Directorship 100 Forum in New York City.
