Covington’s Winner Named a ‘Top Woman Litigator’ in California for Fourth Year

May 12, 2010

SAN FRANCISCO, May 12, 2010 — For the fourth consecutive year, Covington & Burling LLP partner Sonya Winner has been named to the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal’s list of “Top Women Litigators” in California.

In recognizing Ms. Winner again this year, the editors cite her current representations of Wells Fargo Co. and Bank of America in major consumer class action litigations, as well as her role as lead counsel for the National Football League in the successful resolution of a constitutional challenge to the League’s security policy requiring pat-downs of persons attending NFL games. The profile on Ms. Winner is featured in a special supplement to today’s Daily Journal.

Ms. Winner was a founding partner of Covington’s San Francisco office and is chair of the firm’s Consumer and Class Action Litigation practice group.
