  • Represented renewable energy company in DOJ investigation of alleged False Claims Act violations and in litigation against the United States to recover money owed under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

  • Represented the former CEO of IndyMac Bancorp in litigation brought by the SEC, resulting in the dismissal of the SEC’s fraud-based claims and a favorable settlement of the remaining, negligence-based claim.
  • Advised the Board of Directors of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation in connection with the SEC’s efforts to compel SIPC to provide coverage to victims of Allen Stanford’s Ponzi scheme.
  • Represented major global manufacturer in investigation of possible trade controls violations, which was closed without the Government imposing any sanctions .
  • Represented energy company in securities and derivative litigation challenging alleged misstatements and governance problems.
  • Represented automotive parts manufacturer in antitrust investigation by the DOJ.

  • Represent a group of plaintiffs in conjunction with the ACLU in litigation challenging President Trump’s executive orders imposing a ban on entry by individuals from predominantly Muslim countries.
  • Represented nonprofit organization in litigation under the Freedom of Information Act, resulting in the Government’s production of all documents sought by the client.
  • Represented hearing-impaired children in a D.C. Circuit appeal challenging Department of Education regulations under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
  • Represented asylum applicant in immigration proceedings.
