Brian Castello is a litigator who represents a variety of clients in high-stakes actions. Mr. Castello has experience litigating complex civil actions, including representing some of the firm’s sports clients. Mr. Castello also has experience assisting clients in patent litigation and healthcare litigation.

Mr. Castello has assisted clients at all stages of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal. His trial experience includes both bench and jury trials. He also provides clients with assistance in navigating through government and internal investigations.

Mr. Castello serves as an adjunct professor at the George Washington University Law School.

  • Representation of the 32 NFL Clubs in Evans, et al. v. Arizona Cardinals, et al., a lawsuit relating to the provision of medications to players. 
  • Representation of the National Football League in responding to a third-party subpoena.
  • Representation of the largest U.S. military services contractor in complex multidistrict litigation involving tort claims by more than 800 plaintiffs filed in 42 states and consolidated in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. 
  • Representation of Expedia in obtaining clearance from the Department of Justice in Expedia’s acquisition of Orbitz Worldwide.
  • Representation of a sports client in a state antitrust investigation.
  • Representation of a sports client in an internal investigation.
  • Representation of HCA hospitals in litigation regarding reimbursement from health insurers for emergency services provided to health exchange plan members. 
  • Representation of a pioneer pharmaceutical company in a Hatch-Waxman case involving a groundbreaking asthma drug.
  • Representation of a publicly traded company in obtaining clearance under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act
  • Representation of a sports client in responding to a third-party subpoena.
  • Representation of the Personal Care Products Council in state and federal court proceedings arising out of product liability lawsuits.
