    Geraldine Palfreman-Pigot has advised a broad range of clients on real estate matters, from investors and developers and their lenders on the landlord and investment side to retail, lab, office and hotel tenants on the occupational side.

    Geraldine leads the firm’s London office real estate practice and has over 15 years of experience in landlord and tenant matters, real estate joint ventures, asset management arrangements, acquisitions and disposals as well as advising on property in lending and wider corporate and M&A transactions.

    Prior to joining the firm, Geraldine worked at a major accountancy firm. She also spent some time working in house with both a FTSE 100 property company and a lender.

    • Assisted a major private equity fund on real estate matters relating to the acquisition of a portfolio of serviced offices.
    • Advised a lender on real estate matters relating to the acquisition of landmark hotels. These matters included red flag reporting on title and the distillation of a complex rental arrangement.
    • Represented a landlord on the letting of an office building to a government entity tenant. This included consideration of factors relating to the tenant’s special status.
    • Advised a media tenant on the letting of an office building from a developer landlord. This included liaising with construction specialists in terms of the final desired space.

    • Assisted a property company on joint ventures and holding structures relating to large retail portfolios including shopping centres and retail parks. This included complex negotiation in relation to profit share, buyout and funding provisions.
    • Represented a lender on a large scale, high end private residential development. This included complex development issues such as rights of light and the regulation of estate common parts which needed to be reconciled for lenders to be in a position to achieve credit committee approval.
    • Advised a life sciences client on its move to a new building, including bespoke arrangements relating to its exit from its old space and mitigating the risks of cost of fit out versus flexibility of tenure.
