    Andrew Lazerow defends clients in some of their most important antitrust litigation, including matters ranging from competitor disputes to large MDL consolidated class actions. He has particular experience representing innovative life sciences companies and financial services companies in antitrust litigation. In addition to his litigation practice, Andrew regularly advises innovator pharmaceutical clients on various types of business issues, including contract strategies, potential settlements of Hatch-Waxman ANDA patent litigation, and product life-cycle management.

    • In re Rotavirus Vaccines Antitrust Litigation. Represents Merck in consolidated class action in Eastern District of Pennsylvania asserting antitrust challenges to Merck’s contracting practices that allegedly excluded competition from other pediatric vaccine manufacturers.
    • Indivior v. Dr. Reddys Laboratories; Indivior v. Alvogen. Represents Indivior in competitor cases in District of New Jersey asserting antitrust claims based on alleged sham patent litigation and exclusive dealing.
    • In re Nexium Antitrust Litigation. Represented AstraZeneca in multidistrict class action litigation consolidated in the District of Massachusetts involving alleged violations of the antitrust laws arising from the settlement of Hatch-Waxman pharmaceutical patent litigation.
    • In re Wellbutrin XL Antitrust Litigation. Represented Valeant Pharmaceuticals International (formerly Biovail Corporation) in class action litigation consolidated in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania involving alleged violations of the antitrust laws concerning allegations of sham Hatch-Waxman pharmaceutical patent litigation.
    • In re K-Dur Antitrust Litigation. Represented Schering-Plough (now Merck) in multidistrict class action litigation consolidated in the District of New Jersey alleging violations of antitrust laws arising out of settlements of patent litigation with generic drug producers involving so-called “reverse payments.”

    • Allianz et al. v. Bank of America et al; In re LIBOR Antitrust Litigation. Defending Citigroup in Southern District of New York in cases and class actions involving antitrust and commodities fraud claims relating to alleged manipulation of foreign currency exchange benchmarks and LIBOR.
    • In re Interest Rate Swaps Antitrust Litigation. Defending JPMorgan in antitrust class actions and competitor actions involving alleged boycott of electronic exchanges for trading interest rate swaps.
    • ZF Meritor v. Eaton Corp. Defended truck parts manufacturer against antitrust claims brought by a competitor.
    • In re Optical Disk Drives Antitrust Litigation. Represented manufacturer of optical disk drives in Northern District of California in antitrust class actions alleging price fixing.
    • Lead counsel to Dyadic International and current and former officers and directors in securities fraud litigation that settled favorably before extensive discovery or class certification briefing.
    • Represented Biovail Corporation and senior executives in a securities class action that settled before trial.
