Covington’s Keir Gumbs Named “D.C. Rising Star”

WASHINGTON, DC, September 15, 2014 — The National Law Journal has named Covington & Burling partner Keir Gumbs a “D.C. Rising Star.” The award honors “40 private, government and public interest advocacy attorneys, each 40 or under, who are leaders in the law.”

Mr. Gumbs is vice chair of the firm’s securities and capital markets practice. He advises public and private companies, non-profit organizations, institutional investors and other clients in corporate, corporate governance, securities regulation, and transactional matters. Prior to joining Covington in 2005, Mr. Gumbs was with the Securities and Exchange Commission, where he served as Counsel to SEC Commissioner Roel Campos.
