Covington’s Tammy Albarrán Named to National Law Journal’s 'Minority 40 Under 40'

November 1, 2011

SAN FRANCISCO, November 1, 2011 The National Law Journal named Covington & Burling partner Tammy Albarrán to its "Minority 40 Under 40" list. The list honors lawyers who belong to an ethnic minority group who have wielded national influence in their practice areas and beyond over the past five years.

The National Law Journal profile highlights Ms. Albarrán’s work defending clients in securities fraud investigations and enforcement actions by the Securities and Exchange Commission and private class action securities lawsuits. The profile notes that she balances her caseload (which includes significant pro bono work for Spanish-speaking clients) with the active home life she and her husband share in raising their three children under the age of five.

“As a lawyer, Latina, wife and mother of three beautiful kids, I am especially proud of this accomplishment,” said Ms. Albarrán. “It rewards the values that my parents instilled in me — a strong work ethic and an unfettered devotion to family.”
