The Pay TV Show

Date: Monday, May 13, 2019 8:00 AM - Wednesday, May 15, 2019 6:00 PM

Venue: Westin Hotel, Westminster, CO

Robyn Polashuk and Lindsey Tonsager will present "Spotlight on Data: How New U.S. Privacy Laws Will Reshape Content Agreements" at The Pay TV Show on May 14, 2018.

The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) is grabbing national attention as the first comprehensive data privacy measure in the U.S. Under the CCPA, Californians gain new rights to seek access to and deletion of personal data. Consumers also can opt out of data sales and sue for damages in response to certain types of data breaches. Several other states and the U.S. Congress are following California’s lead in considering broad new data privacy bills. This session will outline the new legal frameworks and highlight how terms for data collection and sharing will be affected in content agreements.
