Covington lawyers recently attended Harvard Law School’s third Celebration of Latino Alumni. Held every five years in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the program offers the school’s Latino graduates opportunities to reconnect with each other, engage with issues of social justice, and develop strategies for promoting diversity at law schools and in legal workplaces across the country.
Attendees heard from Harvard Law’s dean, Martha Minow, commemorated the hiring of Latino professor Andrew Crespo to the faculty, and participated in an informative question-and-answer session with rising political stars Joaquín Castro and Julián Castro, both graduates of Harvard Law School. Participants also met with current Latino students to provide mentoring and answer questions about the legal profession.
Covington was proud to co-sponsor the event, which Covington partner Tammy Albarrán co-chaired and attended. Covington attendees also included Jaclyn Martínez Resly and Luis Urbina.
