Diversity Summit for Summer Associate Candidates

September 23, 2016

Covington hosted its second annual Diversity Summit for prospective 2017 summer associates earlier this month, inviting students from law schools across the nation to the firm’s global headquarters in Washington to learn more about the firm’s commitment to diversity as well as meet a wide-range of diverse lawyers from a multitude of backgrounds and practice areas.

Management Committee member Mike Labson and Diversity Committee co-chair Mike Imbroscio opened the summit by highlighting Covington’s longstanding history in advocating for diversity and inclusiveness and emphasizing the importance of diversity both as a core value and an integral part of the firm’s strategy. The conversation continued with a rooftop cocktail reception and concluded with small group dinners hosted at the homes of various African American, Asian American, Hispanic/Latino, and LBGT Affinity Group partners.

Covington is proud to sponsor this annual event as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen and build diversity initiatives across the firm.
