Neil Roman has more than 30 years’ experience litigating a wide range of civil matters, including insurance coverage, trademark, copyright, and antitrust.

Mr. Roman has litigated these matters for an equally wide variety of clients. He served for over a decade as lead national copyright litigation counsel for the National Football League and has since 2004 served as lead national trademark litigation counsel for the American Automobile Association (AAA). He also is involved with high profile matters for BP (Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill litigation) and Samsung (LCD panel antitrust litigation), and he recently tried a trademark infringement action against software manufacturer Quiksilver, winning a multi-million dollar verdict.

A native New Yorker, Mr. Roman relocated in August 2015 to the firm’s New York office from the Washington office, where he started his career. While in Washington, Mr. Roman served as the firm’s Managing Partner for Legal Personnel and hiring partner.

  • Copyright matters, including National Football League v. PrimeTime 24 Joint Venture, 211 F.3d 10 (2d Cir. 2000) and 131 F. Supp. 2d 458 (S.D.N.Y. 2001) and CBS, Inc. v. PrimeTime 24 Joint Venture, 9 F. Supp. 2d 1333 (S.D. Fla. 1998).
  • Antitrust matters, including In re TFT-LCD (Flat Panel) Antitrust Litigation, MDL No. 1827 (N.D. Cal.), and White v. National Football League, 41 F.3d 402 (8th Cir. 1994).
