Representative Matters
- Representation of a major software company in patent litigation in the Eastern District of Texas and Northern District of California involving video software.
- Representation of a leading provider of vehicle inspection technology in patent litigation in the Northern District of Illinois involving on-board diagnostics systems.
- Representation of a pioneer pharmaceutical company in Hatch-Waxman litigation against three generic drug companies in the Southern District of New York involving a phosphate binding drug.
- Representation of Nintendo as a respondent in a Section 337 action before the International Trade Commission involving the Wii. In re Certain Video Game Machines and Related Three-Dimensional Pointing Devices, Inv. No. 337-TA-658.
Previous Experience
- Before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Zapf was an in-house consultant at a major law firm, evaluating economic and financial issues in cases before the International Trade Commission, the Federal Circuit, and other fora.
