Timothy Clark is chair of the firm’s Private Equity and Private Funds practices. Mr. Clark represents private fund clients on a global basis including (i) sponsors of buyout/growth equity funds, energy funds, bank/financial services funds, secondary funds, real estate funds, RMB-denominated funds, credit opportunity funds and venture capital funds, (ii) managers in spin-outs from financial institutions, (iii) buyers, sellers and other participants in secondary/structured secondary transactions and (iv) institutional clients investing in, or co-investing alongside, private funds. Mr. Clark also regularly advises clients on U.S. regulatory matters including the new Dodd-Frank legislation, the Investment Company Act and the Investment Advisers Act. His representative clients include Pine Brook Road Partners, PNC Equity Partners, Brysam Global Partners, CCMP Capital, JP Morgan Partners, Tishman Speyer, PTMR Capital Partners, Neuberger Berman, Pantheon Ventures, KIMC (U.S), Eos Capital Partners and Eos Capital Partners.
Mr. Clark is listed as a leading investment funds lawyer by several industry publications, including Who’s Who Legal, the International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers, and is a member of the Private Investment Fund Forum. Mr. Clark has written and spoken extensively on topics relating to investment funds, including issues relating to sponsor economics and governance, the Investment Company Act and trends in private equity fund terms and conditions.
