Covington has an active practice representing international and domestic clients in proceedings arising under the US antidumping and countervailing duty (CVD) laws.  Through our Brussels office, we also represent clients in antidumping and CVD proceedings before the EU and EU Member States.  In addition, we also assist US and other multinational corporations involved in antidumping and other trade proceedings in countries in Asia and South America.

Covington has extensive experience representing clients in antidumping and countervailing duty disputes, and over the years, has played a central role in a number of leading cases.  We have assisted numerous private companies -- foreign producers, US importers, US customers and US producers -- and a number of governmental entities in successfully navigating the US antidumping and CVD laws, including appeals of these cases to the U.S. Court of International Trade and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

In Europe, we have represented the Council of the European Union in over 50 antidumping and CVD cases before the EU Courts over the past several years.  Recently, we have also advised European producers on how to make use of the EU trade defense measures and represented them as complainants in EU anti-dumping cases.
