We assist our clients in analyzing and responding to compliance issues, both by providing assistance on compliance with current regulation and by working with them on changes to the current regulatory regime, through legislation, rulemaking and challenges to new regulations. We thus help them to navigate through the complex and frequently changing regulatory requirements related to air emissions, wastewater, solid waste disposal, and site remediation. We assist clients in permit application and renewal issues. We provide advice and representation on issues arising under numerous environmental statutes and regulations and proposed regulations, including the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Clean Air Act (CAA), Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Coastal Zone Management Act (CZMA) and analogous state laws. We provide regulatory advice concerning state laws implementing federal programs and State specific laws such as California’s Proposition 65. We represent clients in citizen suits challenging governmental approvals and permits and EPA objections to State permits.
