Jarrett Williams represents policyholders in insurance coverage disputes with an emphasis on negotiation of settlements and strategic advice.  He has counseled clients on insurance claims arising from environmental pollution, asbestos, toxic torts, securities fraud, ERISA liability, shareholder derivative claims, property loss, employment practices, patent infringement, professional errors and omissions, employee dishonesty, and trade credit default.

Representative Matters

  • Negotiated favorable settlement for technology consultant’s errors and omissions claim arising from a contract dispute.
  • Negotiated interim defense agreement for trade association facing multiple claims for alleged civil conspiracy.
  • Litigated to favorable settlement a multi-million dollar coverage claim for non-products asbestos bodily injury.

Honors and Rankings

  • Alan and Adrienne Barth Service Award for Outstanding Service to the ACLU of the National Capitol Area (2007)

Pro Bono

  • Litigated civil rights claims arising from September 2002 mass arrests to favorable settlement, including reform of police procedures in the District of Columbia.
