Jonathan Sperling is a litigation partner based in New York. His practice focuses on complex business litigation, including commercial contracts, securities, M&A, derivative lawsuits, and disputes over corporate control. He also has substantial experience handling governmental and internal investigations, and advising boards on responding to allegations of corporate misconduct.
Most recently, Mr. Sperling has been representing Sony Music Entertainment in contractual disputes with artists over royalties on new forms of music distribution, and Chiquita Brands International in shareholder derivative lawsuits and claims under the Alien Tort Statute arising out of a Department of Justice investigation.
