Josh Williams is an associate in the International and Litigation practice groups. His International Trade Controls practice focuses on US export control regulations administered by the State Department, Commerce Department, and Census Bureau, and economic sanctions programs administered by the Treasury Department. He has counseled companies in the manufacturing, defense, energy, pharmaceutical, and medical device sectors, among others. Mr. Williams’ litigation practice focuses on representing companies in trademark enforcement matters.
Mr. Williams is a member of the Bars of Maine and the District of Columbia.
Representative Matters
- Represented major defense contractor in an internal investigation related to compliance with US export controls.
- Represents a global energy company in an internal investigation related to compliance with US economic sanctions.
- Advises numerous multinational companies on compliance with US economic sanctions against Iran, Sudan, Syria and Cuba.
- Represents a large US company in trademark and unfair competition litigation and domain name disputes before the World Intellectual Property Organization.
