Representative Matters
- Representation of one of the largest providers of telecommunications services in Asia in a DOJ investigation of alleged collusion with respect to termination rates charged to US carriers. The government ultimately closed the investigation and took no action against our client.
- Representation of a European telecommunications company in assistance with protecting its interests with the European Commission in a bilateral EU-US regulatory dispute.
- Representation of AT&T in their defense in a trial concerning claims by a competitor that AT&T’s advertisements for telephone calling cards were misleading.
- Representation of AudioCodes in its acquisitions of Nuera Communications and Netrake Corporation, both venture-backed private companies in the telecom equipment industry.
- Representation of British Telecommunications plc in their acquisitions of Infonet Services Corporation, Counterpane Internet Security, International Network Services, and Comsat International.
- Representation of GHL Acquisition in its $591 million acquisition of Iridium Holdings, a satellite voice and data communications provider.
- Representation of Global Crossing in its acquisition by Singapore Technologies Telemedia (and an earlier phase involving Hutchison Whampoa).
- Representation of Huawei Technologies in an action relating to router technology that involved claims of copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, infringement of five patents, violations of the Lanham Act and Texas state law, and counterclaims alleging unfair competition.
