Komal Shah

Komal Shah represents clients in criminal cases, civil enforcement actions, and internal investigations involving national security and international trade. Komal has significant experience defending and counseling clients facing allegations that they have violated export controls laws and has represented clients in investigations by government agencies, including the Department of Commerce, the Department of Justice, and U.S. Attorney’s Offices across the country.

Komal is also a member of the firm’s Institutional Culture and Social Responsibility practice, and has conducted several investigations involving allegations of sexual harassment, racial discrimination, and dysfunctional workplace cultures.

Komal maintains an active pro bono practice. She has secured favorable verdicts on behalf of multiple pro bono clients, including on behalf of a victim of sexual assault in a defamation action against her alleged assailant.
