Access to Reproductive Health Care

As a result of the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Dobbs vs. Jackson Women's Health Organization overruling the federal constitutional protection of abortion under Roe and Casey, state legislatures now are considering imposing additional restrictions on access to abortion and many have already begun to do so through reactivating old laws or enacting new. State executives are issuing orders, and some states also are enacting laws or promulgating orders to protect providers of abortion services. Litigation has begun, including under state constitutional law and federal constitutional provisions.

Covington’s multi-disciplinary team has been advising clients as they prepared for and are now reacting to the Court’s decision.
