Edward Bruce is the senior member of the appellate practice group and is located in our Washington, DC office.

Nearly all of the cases that Mr. Bruce has handled involve the federal government as a party or turn upon questions of federal law ranging from administrative law, communications, constitutional law, environmental law, federal financial institutions, and intellectual property, including both copyrights and patents.  Mr. Bruce has been counsel of record in nearly 80 appeals (four of which have been in the United States Supreme Court).  In doing so, he has handled more appeals at Covington than any other lawyer in the firm’s history.
