David Pinsky is an associate in the firm’s litigation and white collar practice groups. 

Representative Matters

  • Counsel for NFL Enterprises in a contract dispute with a major cable television company concerning carriage of the NFL Network.
  • Representation of American investors in the Yukos Oil Company in a suit alleging expropriation and fraud against the Russian Federation, Russian state-controlled companies, and Russian individuals.
  • Defense of a pharmaceutical company in an investigation by the Department of Justice regarding alleged violations of the federal anti-kickback statute and off-label promotion of prescription drugs.
  • Assisted in the successful defense of a large American company in an investigation by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Previous Experience

  • U.S. State Department-sponsored fellow in Moscow; studied press freedom issues in Russia (2004-2005). 

Pro Bono

  • Representation of nationals of the former Soviet Union in applications for asylum to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and before the Executive Office of Immigration Review.   
  • Advised the Brennan Center for Justice at the NYU School of Law on the right to counsel in civil cases under the laws of the republics of Georgia and Armenia.
  • On behalf of a US nonprofit organization, drafted a report regarding access to counsel for non-citizens in removal proceedings.
