Darien Capron is an associate in the firm’s Washington, DC office, where she is a member of the Corporate and Litigation practice groups.  Her corporate practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, and general corporate matters in a variety of industries, including sports, media and life sciences.  She also advises public and privately-held companies in connection with federal and state securities law, corporate governance, and general corporate law matters.  Ms. Capron's litigation practice focuses on insurance litigation and complex commercial disputes.  She also advises companies on e-discovery practices and data retention issues.

Representative Matters

  • Advises the NFL and other national sports leagues and teams in financing and broadcasting arrangements and corporate governance matters.
  • Representation of broadcasters, newspapers and sports entities in negotiation of content creation, licensing and distribution agreements.
  • Representation of a corporate policyholder in an insurance coverage action.
  • Representation of an oil and gas exploration and production company in a $900 million debt exchange offering.
  • Representation of one of the nation’s leading financial institutions in multi-district class actions alleging unfair and deceptive practices, TILA and RICO violations, and other claims.
