Danielle Barbour practices in the firm’s litigation practice group.  Ms. Barbour has worked on a variety of cases encompassing trade, insurance, and appellate matters in federal and state courts.  She has also handled issues related to compliance with Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act and other federal statutes.

Representative Matters

  • Represented a major US railroad in a declaratory judgment action challenging federal penalties and rail car seizures.
  • Represented a large manufacturer in insurance coverage litigation regarding asbestos liability.
  • Represented a US manufacturer in obtaining settlement of a contract dispute and related bankruptcy matters.

Pro Bono

  • Represented a criminal defendant in federal RICO proceedings in the District of Maryland.
  • Represented a federal detainee in a habeas appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
  • Represented a tenant association in proceedings before the D.C. Superior Court and the Rental Housing Commission.
