Chris Beals is an associate in the firm’s New York office and a member of the Technology Transactions and Life Sciences practice groups.  His practice focuses on transactions for technology, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology clients, including licensing arrangements, outsourcing, supply and distribution transactions, acquisitions, and other general corporate matters.

Representative Matters

  • Advise Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in connection with the negotiation of a license and service agreement for an enterprise wide Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
  • Advice to Microsoft Corp. on intellectual property and transactional matters in its winning $4.5 billion bid in the auction of Nortel Networks Corporation’s 6000 patents and patent applications with a consortium of bidding partners.
  • Colbeck Capital Management, LLC as arranger of debt financing and syndicate member for debt financing to Kadmon Pharmaceuticals, LLC a privately held biopharmaceutical company, in connection with its acquisition of Three Rivers Pharmaceuticals, a specialty pharmaceuticals company.
  • Advice on intellectual property matters to GlaxoSmithKline in connection with its acquisition of Laboratorios Phoenix S.A.C.yF.
  • Warner Chilcott plc in its acquisition of The Procter & Gamble Company’s pharmaceuticals business.
  • Private equity fund in its acquisition of debt and senior equity in a health care data company.
