More than 800 lawyers practice in Covington’s Beijing, Brussels, London, New York, San Diego, San Francisco, Seoul, Shanghai, Silicon Valley, and Washington offices and are involved in an extraordinary range of practice areas.
Our San Francisco office was opened in 1999 with seven lawyers, and now has approximately 70 lawyers engaged in a wide range of matters for both established and early-stage clients in life sciences, financial services, information technology, digital media, sports and insurance, among other fields. The major practice areas are corporate, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity, licensing transactions and representation of emerging growth companies; litigation, including patent trademark and trade secret disputes, antitrust, insurance coverage, sports law and general commercial matters; and intellectual property advice, including e-commerce, technology standards, and copyright, trademark, and trade secret law. The office is located in the heart of San Francisco’s financial district.
