Benefits
The firm's overall objective is to ensure that compensation for our employees is fully competitive with the leading firms in each market where we have offices.  This reflects our desire to attract and retain the very best employees, and our intention to continue at the forefront of firms in the United States and internationally.

The goal of our staff compensation program is to provide a generous total compensation package (e.g., salary, bonuses, retirement benefits, insurance, and other fringe benefits) that is highly competitive for similar positions in similarly sized offices within the geographic region.

The following is a general summary of certain benefits available from the firm, and is neither exhaustive nor definitive.  All benefits are governed by written documents and, in some instances, by applicable law.  In Belgium, the State mandates a range of social benefits, not included in the list below (for example maternity leave, paternity leave, parental leave, time credit, transport contribution, and other benefits).  For more specific details regarding the actual application of these benefits in particular circumstances, please contact us at the address listed below.

The firm offers:
  • Medical cover for eligible employees through one of Belgium’s leading medical and hospitalisation insurance companies. The plan complements Belgium’s existing social security cover for hospitalisation and outpatient care, including medical and paramedical interventions, such as homeopathy and osteopathy, outpatient serious diseases, and one day clinics. In addition, the plan provides for dental and vision care coverage up to an annual ceiling. Eligible employees may also purchase reduced cost coverage for their dependents.
  • A non-contributory retirement savings plan (including life insurance) for eligible employees, who may also choose to make additional contributions. All contributions are vested in the employee’s name in a fixed income investment fund.
  • Collective disability insurance for eligible employees. A pension is paid in relation to the level of disability incurred (from partial to total).
  • Luncheon vouchers for eligible employees.
  • An Employee Assistance Program to provide confidential counseling or assistance on a wide array of issues to all employees and their families.
  • Emergency medical and travel assistance benefits to all employees traveling on Firm business through AIG Europe (UK) Limited.
  • Extra legal paid vacation days (in addition to State-mandated legal vacation and public holidays).
  • Tuition scholarships for continuing education of firm employees.
  • Cash bonuses for referred hires.
