Ashley Sprague is an associate in the firm's Litigation and International practice groups.  She advises clients on diverse international matters in litigation and regulatory contexts.  Prior to graduating from law school, Ms. Sprague completed an internship with Judge Gerald Bruce Lee in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Ms. Sprague is admitted to the Bars of Virginia and the District of Columbia.

Representative Matters

  • Representing a multinational company in mass tort lawsuits brought by Colombian nationals under the Alien Tort Statute.
  • Advising companies in compliance matters related to the export controls and sanctions administered by the Commerce Department (BIS), Treasury Department (OFAC), and State Department (DDTC).
  • Advising companies in creating and implementing anti-corruption programs.

Pro Bono

  • Advised non-governmental organization on State practice relating to war-crimes prosecution.
  • Advised non-governmental organization on land reform issues stemming from the political power-sharing agreement in Zimbabwe.
